There’s a brand new poker tournament series taking place this November, the Caribbean Poker Tour and it’s to be sponsored by William Hill Poker and the iPoker network. Taking place in the exotic Caribbean locations of St Maarten and Punta Cana it offers a welcome getaway to the sun for live poker tournament fans. William Hill and other iPoker Network skins will be running plenty of satellites and promotions based around what is looking like a decent little tourney series.

Events at the Caribbean Poker Tour

There will be a main event to be held in each location, a $1,500 buy-in at the Punta Cana event and a $1,650 buy-in while at St Maarten. There’s also a very tasty high roller event with a $7,000 buy-in called the Lucky Number Seven High Roller Tournament. This series coincides with the World Poker Tour Caribbean stop nicely meaning that there’s a good chance that a fair few pro’s will be in the area meaning you never know who’s going to pop in. The tour is organized by ICU events and they appear to be delighted at their creation, stating, “The concept of ICU Events is offering an incomparable service in advance and during the event, in the poker room or away from the poker tables. The Caribbean Poker Tour is offering a terrific service - on the website everybody can customize his trip. Choose hotel, activities, tournaments and flights for themselves and friends and create their own package, just a few clicks away.” The iPoker Network itself has expending well recently and is looking likely to be the new home of Ladbrokes poker soon too, and the news of the Caribbean Poker Tour is a great addition and something that all iPoker skins will be keen to promote.
