888 Mobile Poker

888 Mobile Poker Review

888 Poker is an extremely popular place to play online poker, in the top 5 sites in the world in fact. So it should come as no surprise that as Mobile Poker is starting to take off in a big way, they are up there with in releasing a mobile poker offering. Like all poker applications that have hit the market the 888 mobile poker app has some outstanding features, along with a few things that you will not be able to do as you would in the regular download client. The application itself is easy to install however it is not available in all countries. It comes with a simple and easy to navigate lobby and you find the app in general is designed more for the casual player in mind, and for those grinders who love to churn it out on the cash tables, then at present the 888 software on your computer is far more suitable. However in saying that, it does have some great features that allow you to get your game on the go.

888 Mobile Poker Features

As we have mentioned, the lobby is smooth, clean and easy to get around and you'll find a decent selection of cash games and sit and go's available. The games run very smoothly as long as your mobile internet connection is a good one and one area that has been worked on is making the buttons large enough to use. It sounds simple, but plenty of early mobile poker apps failed due to this simple thing. You also get to play against players who are using the regular download client too, meaning that the liquidity is there and there's always cash on the tables. Another great feature, which is missing from many apps is that 888 have managed to design a fully functional web cashier that is both safe and secure and works extremely well. This means that you many deposit and withdraw while on the go. All round, it's a very well built application and great for recreational poker players, which we assume, will be the majority of users as serious players will still want every feature available to them.

A Few Limitations but a Great App

888 mobile poker has a few things that could be improved, and over time they probably will. At present there are no tournaments available and this is a fairly big deal with many players who prefer this style of online poker, meaning that in the short term at least, tourneys are for computer use only. Although the offering of cash and sit and go games is decent, it could be better and there is no multi-tabling allowed on the app, which again is a major problem for grinders. Some of the lacking features are sure to be on the 888 to do list and until then what you are left with a very good mobile poker application that is perfect for the recreational player on the go.
