PPA Hoping to Raise $25,000

Poker Players Alliance (PPA), a grass-roots political advocacy group, held a 'money bomb' campaign and asking poker buffs to support their efforts to raise a minimum of $25,000. Poker Players Alliance was asking that members and non members to log onto PokerMoneyBomb.com and lend a hand raising funds to aid the voting later in the summer on legislation to license and regulate' the sport over the Internet. The PPA has in excess of one million members throughout the US. Chairman for the PPA, former Senator Alfonse D'Amato told officials that they have been able to grow to where they are today only by continuing efforts of the poker community. Although they are still fighting the battle to make sure that all US citizens can legally enjoy online gaming. The unity of an event like this is a great way to show lawmakers how online gamers can come together and show support.
