An announcement has been made by the Equity Poker Network that it has acquired the Action Poker brand and it will be placed as the European facing side of the network with Full Flush Poker remaining as the flagship ‘rest of the world’ brand and accepting players players from the US. This means that with immediate effect Action will be placed on the EPN in a move that will benefit players massively due to the increased liquidity on the Equity Poker Network, the larger tournaments available and the user friendly environment that the software provides for recreational online poker players.
A spokesperson from Equity stated that, “Action Poker was once a great, competitive, and respected brand, but in more recent times, its standing in the poker community has lapsed. We plan to restore it to its former glory, and to create a sister site to our flagship Full Flush Poker brand that we can be proud of. We’re excited to be the instrument of Action Poker’s rebirth.” To begin their new playing days on the network players will be given a 150% reaction welcome bonus of up to $600, and a cool 20% cash back on all deposits over $50, similar to the deal at Full Flush. It will take a while to see how this move pans out however there’s no doubt that Action Poker needed a lifeline, and maybe this move will see it gain a new lease of life.
