Aced Poker Closes its Doors

The Merge Gaming Network skin Aced Poker has closed its doors with all players being migrated to sister site Carbon Poker as of July 1st. Existing Aced players, upon next login, will see that a client upgrade will take place, with the Carbon download replacing the Aced software, and of course all balances will be transferred. This latest move now sees only 4 skins remaining on the Merge Network, those of Carbon, Sportsbook.ag Poker, PlayersOnly and SuperBook and to many observers this move came as no real surprise.

Aced launched in a big way back in 2009 with WSOP Main Event winner Jamie Gold as its ambassador and pro player however it was taken over by Carbon just a year later. Since that takeover it's always played second fiddle as a brand and had nowhere near the exposure that Carbon Poker was given and it joins the list of other skins that Merge have closed to players in recent times with Hero Poker, PDC, RPM Poker and FeltStars all closing, while Black Chip Poker moved to the Winning Poker Network and joined Americas Cardroom. Poker Host also moved from the network and is now sat on the Equity Poker Network along with Full Flush Poker.

Carbon Poker offers all new players a great 200% welcome bonus up to $5,000, and a host of other solid promotions too, including regular reload bonuses and great monthly specials. There's also mobile poker now available at Carbon and there's a decent selection of cash games and sit n go's available for play on iOS and Android mobile devices.
