The LSOP, A Land Based Tourney with a Difference

The Latin Series of Poker is changing things up a little and it may have come up with a formula worth being considered by other tournament organizers. The LSOP has changed the way Day 1 of the tournament will be played and it will now take place in different casinos all over Latin America, meaning that if you take a seat and bust out early, as least you may not have traveled that far, spent that much cash and feel like you’ve wasted time and money. There is also the fact that the LSOP is a large $1 Million guaranteed tournament with a buy in of just $850 and this means that there more entries than just one casino can handle. LSOP organizers stated that, “This is unheard of, but by hosting Day 1 tables in multiple cities, we’re anticipating a large showing—more so than just what one casino can accommodate.”

The LSOP Millions will begin in Panama City on March 7th, running to March 15th taking place at the Majestic Casino, however players will not have to make their way all the way there for Day 1 action. Players will play Day 1 in Panama and many other locations across Latin America with full details to come shortly. This means that players who make it to Day 2 will then shift to Panama City safe in the knowledge that they are closer to the cash. The LSOP is being promoted by Americas Cardroom and they are offering plenty of ways for players to get there with 2 x 10 package satellites taking place during the month of December. This means that a total of 20 players will win not just their seats but the whole deal including 6 nights hotel accommodation at the Hard Rock Megapolis Panama City, $750 cash for travel expenses and hotel credit too. It’s worth getting involved in this one and the packages are worth a cool $2,500 each...check them out at Americas Cardroom.
