Americas Cardroom Removes Bad Beat Jackpot, Replaces with Something Bigger!

ACR Bad Beat Jackpot Replaced with Something Bigger!

The popular US friendly online poker room Americas Cardroom is making a big change to one of its long standing promotions. The Bad Beat Jackpot promotion will come to an end on September 1st, however that means that seeding the jackpot will stop and the present amount will stay put until it's won. It's being phased out gradually and at the moment is standing at over $175,000, and as of September 1st it will be frozen and left sitting their until one lucky unlucky player hit its. Michael Harris at Americas Cardroom says that, "We're responding to player feedback by delivering the type of experience diehard poker players want, we've heard from our players and a lot of them are telling us that the Bad Beat Jackpot in its current form isn't something they find attractive. So we're changing the concept of how players get paid."

So what happens now? As of September the 1st, the fee that is taken at the Beast tables will no longer be split between the Beast and the Bad Beat Jackpot and all funds will go towards the Beast. As of 1st September all stake level tables will collect a maximum of $0.25 fee at the Beast tables. Of this fee, $0.18 will go to the Beast Cash Race, with the other $0.07 going to the Beast Tournament Race, and micro stakes tables will no longer take a fee. Players will have mixed opinions, of that there is no doubt, and many will enjoy the fact that the Beast is now even bigger. If you're not playing your game at Americas Cardroom, then check it and get your hands on the $1,000 welcome bonus and the exclusive new depositors freeroll. There's some large guaranteed tourneys too with the $100K Sunday offering being the biggest.
