Ratholers won’t like the games on Americas Cardroom (ACR), but all other players will. The 7-Day No Rathole Table (NRT) cash games are designed to keep the poker action flowing and keep away those that are only looking for a quick score. They’ve already become a hit with players and railbirds alike and, with stacks that soar to $500,000 or more in some games, it’s easy to understand why.
NRT games don’t have a normal buy-in – players must purchase ten big blinds in the stakes they want to play. For example, if the stakes are $1/$2, players have to put up $20; if they’re $50/$100, $1,000 is needed. NRTs are available for NLH, PLO and 6-Plus fans and at stakes of $0.10/$0.25, $1/$2, $5/$10 and $50/$100, so there’s something for everyone.
When the action’s underway, any player who busts out must pay another ten big blinds to get back in. If a player is on a winning streak, he or she can take the winnings and walk away, but can’t come to a table of the same stakes unless the winnings are put back in action.
