Brian Campanello Wins WSOP Circuit New Orleans Main Event

The two time WSOP Circuit gold ring winner and WSOP bracelet winner Brian Campanello took 1st place in the WSOP Circuit main event Harrah's New Orleans, a paycheck for over $175K and of course the final seat in this years National Championships. No stranger to the circuit Campanello from Texas didn't have it all his own way in New Orleans however after an arduous heads up fight against Gary Friedlander he came out victorious and stated that, "It feels so good, I'm tired, we played heads up for like four hours, a really long time. Winning these mains is insane, there's so many people, 557 entrants here."

The four hour heads up play saw the chip lead swing from one player to the other and Campanello was all in and playing for survival on a few occasions, and his third all in gave him the chip lead yet again, and this time he held onto it. On the final hand his pair of lady's held up against the queen jack of Friedlander and it was all over, with Campanello packing his bags for the Nationals in Atlantic City almost straight away. At 22 years old, Campanello has already achieved what many players have failed to do in a lifetime of playing and he puts his great play down to, "watching people who are better than you." After the Nationals in New Jersey he's off to the WSOP in Vegas hunting for that second bracelet, and if you want to join him in Sin City then keep on reading...
