Black Diamond Poker Open II Starts This Week

This event is big and it's back. The Bodog Black Diamond Open incorporates players from Bodog.ca in Canada, Bodog rest of the world and Bovada players in North America. This is a multi table series of online poker tournaments that offers up a staggering $850,000 in prizes and with its two unique levels it offers players at every level of the game a chance to give the big time a shot. This year the Black Diamond is split into two different parts, The Contender Series for lower stakes players and The Champion Series for the bigger players. With a combined total of 86 events this immense series promises to be a one to remember. It's not just Texas Holdem either as there are many Omaha and Stud tourneys on offer. Qualifiers and satellites are no running and can be found in the lobby and both the Champion Series' starts on Sunday February 10th with the Champion Series kicking off on the 10th March.

The Contender Series

The Contender Series runs from 10th February all the way through to the 24th. The buy ins have a great range from $3.30 up to $55.00 meaning this series is great for all players. There are a total of 43 events to take part in and the main event has a guaranteed prize pool of $30,000 with the series totaling a cool $150,000 in cash prizes. There will be two events each evening and one morning event each day giving you a choice of when to hit the felt.

The Champion Series

This is the big series with some serious cash up for the taking and both small and big players are going to want to be involved in this. The Champion Series starts March the 10th and runs until the 24th again with 43 events scheduled. The buy ins are of course bigger in this section of the series and start at $22.00 with the largest being $425.00 for the main event. The main event guarantees $250,000 and the series as a whole will be offering a whopping $700,000 worth of prizes. Satellites start on the 25th of February just as the Contender series is wrapping up.
