Carbon Poker to Release New Mobile Poker Client

The first mobile poker client is expected to be released by Carbon Poker very soon. The application is in its final testing stage and although only play money poker will be available in the initial stages real money poker will not be far behind it. Carbon is even asking if there are a few players out there who wish to put it to the test, so if you're a Carbon player then drop them an email. The app will be available on the iPhone and iPod touch initially however there are plans to launch across more platforms soon including Android. Due to restrictions in the Apple Store then the application will be a web based app meaning that poker players in the US are able to make use of it. Maybe this move by Carbon will be the kick that mobile poker in the US has been waiting for, as adoption of mobile poker has been very slow compared to other forms of online gambling and indeed online poker in Europe. PokerStars has rolled out its app in most countries now, Ongame has its own native application and 888 poker has both iOS and Android versions available. In the states however Carbon will led the market in mobile poker which is no mean feat considering that its main competition is coming from the likes of the Revolution Network, Bodog and the Winning Poker Network.
