Aussie Millions is one of the biggest poker events in the Southern Hemisphere, and each year it attracts many of the worlds top players to the Crown Casino in Melbourne. Last years event was a resounding success and the schedule for the 2014 Aussie Millions series has now been revealed. This great poker festival has plenty more to offer than the Main Event and the total of 20 tournaments will feature 19 Championship Ring events and it all starts on January 20th 2014. There's a good range of buy ins that range from the smallest at $1,100 right up to the $10,600 for a seat in the Main Event. The high roller events will of course cost more and there will be three of those taking place with the last event on the schedule being the $250,000 super high roller challenge.
There's a few changes regarding the buy ins this time around and all events apart from the Main Event will offer one re-entry, with the $250K offering unlimited entries through the first 4 rounds. Should you be looking for a slightly cheaper way to replicate Mervin Chan's first place and $1.6 million win in the Main Event last year then satellites will of course be running, both before and during the series. Apart from the Main Event and the Super High Roller Challenge there are some other great offerings in Melbourne 2014 such as the $1,100 No Limit Hold'em Shootout, the $1,100 Mervin Chan Classic and the $1,100 Pot Limit Omaha tourney. There's always a great crown at the Melbourne Crown and let's hope that continues in 2014.
