Kyle Bowker Wins WSOP Circuit Main Event Philadelphia

Harrah's Philadelphia saw Kyle Bowker take his first ever WSOP Circuit gold ring when he stormed to victory in the Main Event, taking away a cool $115,920 on top. Bowker is a professional full time poker player from Walton NY and the 31 year old is no stranger to the circuit scene, however after 8 years of playing this is his first major win in a live tournament. By taking first place and beating 336 players he also secured his seat in the National Championships in Atlantic City, and once he'd picked up the cash and the ring he simply stated, "pretty awesome."

Even though this is his first major event win, over the past 9 years Kyle has made a living playing live tournaments, earning $2.1 Million on the way and this may be his first first place, but it's not his biggest cash, as that came in the 2006 WSOP Main Event in which he finished a very credible 37th taking home $247,399 and he's also picked up a 2nd place circuit cash for just over $128,000 in Atlantic City in 2009. The field in this event was no push over with several WSOP bracelet holders in the fray, however Russell Thomas, Loni Harwood, Eric Baldwin, Jeff Madsen and Ken Aldridge all failed to make it to the money seats. The prize pool of $504,000 was shared between 36 players and it was Kyle Bowker who took the lion share of that when he beat Justin Liberto in heads up play.
