New Bwin-Party Poker Platform Launched

Bwin.party have announced that the relaunch of the brand new online poker offering will happen, anytime now. Mid September is the 'date' given and we're told to expect some major changes with plenty of modifications for the casual player to enjoy. A while back it was found that they were segregating players to create a better poker ecology and part of the new offering will see a little more transparency in this area. There will also be a focus on the social side of the game and that will also involve a set of achievements that allow players to climb a ladder, which sounds a little like social gaming meets online poker. There's been so much talk of late regarding player segregation, and the debate is split fairly evenly down the middle, with players both for and against it. Many operators have put at least some form of segregation in place, and it seems to be the way things are heading at the moment.

Recently party poker has slipped down the rankings a little and has been overtaken by 888 in terms on real money players, and there's the hope that these changes, combined with a TV advertising campaign can boost those numbers back up somewhat. Bwin, does have plenty of other things on their mind at the moment, with the imminent launch of real money online gambling in the state of New Jersey. Bwin will be providing the software for the Borgata Casino, in their bid to enter the market in the Garden State, and they also have plans to enter the new online scene in Nevada too...busy time at Bwin.party.
