Phil Ivey Launches Social Poker Site

Californian poker pro Mr Phil Ivey is still fuming at the lack of movement on getting his cash from the London casino where an investigation is still taking place into his marathon Punto Banco session. This however has not stopped him from moving forward with other projects. Phil has teamed up with fellow pro and current WSOP Champion Greg Merson to put together an all new social site where the goal is "to teach the world how to play poker". The site will be called IveyPoker com, and in Phil's words "People aren't learning how to play, you see people just going on there and playing, but not really learning how to play the right way. What we're doing here is teaching people how to become a winning poker player. I think a lot of people don't really know how to play poker and i think this is going to be an opportunity to play with the best players in the world". So Phil has lofty plans for his new toy and we at Sunshine Poker wish him luck, however my personal views on social sites remain the same, no matter who is behind them, from one of the best pros in the world to an unknown tech guy, you can't learn the game if you don't feel the "ouch" of losing real money. You can play as much as you want on social sites, but is it in you to make that big raise with your own hard earned cash?
