PokerStars Heads Back to Latin America

Great news from PokerStars, the Latin American Poker Tour schedule has been announced and season six will get underway in Chile on the 17th of March. Stars have yet again organized the biggest and best poker tour of Latin America, taking in six countries and some fantastic places. The six lucky countries are Chile, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Panama and Uruguay. On the 17th of March players from around the world will gather at the Enjoy Casino and Resort in Viña del Mar, Chile for the fourth year with last years main event pulling in a field of 672 players and a prize pool of $651,840. Eduardo Garcia is delighted to have the tour back at his casino saying, “We are very proud to be part of the biggest poker tournament in Latin America, held by the Latin American Poker Tour, it is due to this association that the Enjoy Casino & Resort in Chile has led this initiative, five years in a row, which stands for quality and constitutes an effective way to boost tourism by bringing tourists to Chile from around the world.” The tour is growing year on year and this is due to a few factors. There are sensible buy in amounts and online qualifiers allowing players of all levels, both amateur and pro to compete, it's well organized and the destinations are amazing.

The LAPT Destinations

After Chile the tour moves on to beautiful Brazil with the event beginning on the 25th of April in Sao Paulo. Next up it's off to Medellin Colombia on June 5th with a $1,000 main event buy in. After that it takes in Peru on July 31st, Panama City on September 18th and finishing up in Uruguay for the grand final on November the 13th. It promises to be a great tour and you can take part in it by playing in satellites at PokerStars, and there are even free rolls to the events.
