Carbon Poker, an online poker site that always welcomes US players recently recruited their newest sponsored pro...none other than actress Shannon Elizabeth who made her career as an actress in the 1999 comedy film, “American Pie.” Elizabeth was the sexy Nadia. Among other roles played by Shannon Elizabeth are Nadia in the 2001 “American Pie 2, Love Actually, The Grand, and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. TV roles for Shannon Elizabeth include Just Shoot Me, The Twilight Zone, That 70s Show, and Cuts.
Spokesperson for Carbon Poker, Peter Hampton claims in a very recent press release that Elizabeth fit the bill since she is known and respected in the poker industry and because people know who she is. The advertisement campaign, that will include Elizabeth, will show all facets of her personality. There will also be several with her in competition with other big namers. Elizabeth is not short on experience either since she has been sponsored by other online poker rooms, although these ventures were rather short lived. She has also played some really recognized pros such as Barry Greenstein, Humberto Brenes, Paul Wasicka, and Jamie Gold. Shannon Elizabeth also sports quite a poker history as well. Elizabeth was a semifinalist in the 2007 National Heads-Up Poker Championship and during that same year she beat Céline Dion's husband, René Angélil and Jeff Madsen in the same event.
