Sean Yu Wins WSOP Circuit Main Event at Harrah's Southern California

It was Sean Yu who won a cool $101,881 and a WSOP Circuit Gold Ring when he took down the Harrah's Southern California Main Event, in a tournament that was played at such speed it finished a day early. It was a tourney with no grinding, no messing around and such fast action that the tournament director, at the end of day 2, gave the 3 remaining players the option of sticking around for another two levels, and after agreeing to do that, those two levels were all it took to determine a winner.

Yu is a professional player and will also be taking his seat in the National Championships and after winning his very first ring he stated that, "I play mostly tournaments, I used to play cash games for many years and started playing tournaments only at the beginning of this year. This year's been phenomenal." Seems like the switch to tourneys has paid off as this was his second big win of 2014. The Southern California tournament was a relatively small one with only 283 players involved but there were some great players at the tables, with Eric Baldwin, Jordan Morgan and Brandon Paster all hitting the felt. The WSOP Circuit now moves on to Atlantic City with that Main Event finishing up just before Christmas.
