Jason Sandling Wins WSOP Circuit Main Event in Cherokee

Jason Sandling took on and took out 665 players to win the WSOP Circuit Cherokee Main Event and a cool $204.487. Sandling plays poker for fun, and by day he's a stay at home father and this is only his second tournament cash, with his first coming just a few days earlier in the $365 no limit event, making the Cherokee Harrah's event a very special one indeed for him. As well as the first placed prize money and the Main Event gold ring, Sandling has also booked his seat in the National Championships in Atlantic City this May.

The final table players list read like a who's who of WSOP Circuit poker and it was a fantastic achievement by Sandling to come out on top. He went to the final table with the second largest chip stack and held firm for the duration with players falling around him in what turned out to be a fairly short six hours of play. During the course of the final table, Sandling found himself in an all in position just the once, and after winning that hand he never looked back. After the victory Sandling stated that, "I was second in chips coming in, I just kind of picked my spots and chipped up pretty early. I never got into any super big confrontations. Just always chipped up." With his winnings he plans to pay off a few bills and celebrate the victory with his wife.
